By changing as little as a word, we can change the entire relationship we have to the matter at hand, to the predicament, to the circumstance.  When we frame a more favorable perspective of the circumstances, we change our experience of the matter, and we better control our relationship to it.  Too often, we use disempowering (or incorrect) language unknowingly, and in doing so we stack the circumstances against us.  As subtly as changing a word, we can discover that choices exist.  With choice, we have the ability to shift our perspective and thus our approach to the circumstance.  When we shift our approach, we shepherd the circumstance to a more powerful outcome.

We might ask, “How?  How would we actually do this?”   

The more appropriate question could be more along the lines of how might we ‘undo’ this?  How can we use more appropriate language to better serve the circumstance?  The solution lays in the ability to un-transpose certain words or phrases that limit, program and charge a given circumstance.  Because we have deeper, visceral, reactional relationships to certain words and phrases we use and mis-use, the resulting effect is profound.  When we use the proper distinction intended for the matter at hand, we most effectively and powerfully address it.
